How fast is a typical solve?

Median is 1.4 seconds and p95 sits under 4.1 seconds across all task types, measured over the trailing 30 days. Live numbers per task type are published on the status page, including during incidents.

What exactly am I billed for?

Successful solves only, at $10 per 1,000 — one cent a solve. If a task times out, errors, or exhausts our internal retries, it is not metered. There is no charge for queue time, no platform fee and no seat licences.

Which challenge types are supported?

Checkbox, invisible and score-based challenges, image and grid selection tasks, and the enterprise variants of the major providers. Both proxied and proxyless modes are available per request. New types are added on request for any account.

Question 4

Do I have to supply my own proxies?

Accepted Answer

No. Proxyless is the default and covers most workloads. If you need traffic to originate from your own infrastructure or a specific ASN, pass a proxy on the task and we will route through it instead.

What are you allowed to use this for?

You must be the owner of the target property or have documented authorization to automate against it — for example your own test environments, an accessibility path you operate, or a client engagement with permission in writing. Account-creation abuse, credential stuffing, spam, payment fraud and ticket scalping are prohibited and we terminate accounts for them.

How should I store my API key?

Server-side only, in your secret manager or environment. Keys are scoped per project, rotate without downtime, and never belong in browser code or a mobile bundle. You can restrict a key to an IP allowlist in the dashboard.

Question 7

What happens when volume spikes?

Accepted Answer

Bursts above your concurrency ceiling queue rather than fail, and the router shifts load to whichever pool has headroom. If you expect a sustained step change, tell us a day ahead and we will pre-warm capacity.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Accepted Answer

No. Every account runs on the same Enterprise rate of $10 per 1,000 successful solves, invoiced monthly in arrears, with no platform fee, no seat licences and no annual lock-in. Usage is paid from the first solve and you can stop whenever you like.
